◆演講題目和摘要 the Topic:
Responsible Research in Business and Management: Striving for Useful and Credible Knowledge
We present a vision of a future in which business schools and scholars worldwide have successfully transformed their research toward responsible science, producing relevant and credible knowledge that is ultimately useful for addressing problems important to business and society. This vision is based on the belief that business can be a means for a better world if it is informed by responsible research. This requires a substantive rethinking of business research and, more broadly, about its scientific and social role in society. The paper includes a call to action to researchers, journals, deans, accreditors, and the whole business research ecosystem to change the incentives and culture around publications that are essential to promoting responsible research. The paper invites discussion and debate on the prospect of changing the research ecosystem so that business and management research can be a stronger force for creating a better world.
