COLLEGE DEVELOPEMENT　　

• The College of Management (COM) launched in 1970 with a graduate program— the Institute of Management Science, which expanded to recruit undergraduate students the next year. The COM was officially founded in 1979. Experiencing improvements and transformations in the past 50 years, the COM has grown to become a leading business school in Asia, hosting 4 bachelor’s programs (BBA and BS), 10 master’s programs (MBA, MS, Global MBA and EMBA), and 8 PhD programs.
• As one of the 19 colleges at NYCU, the majority of programs at COM are located on the Kuang Fu main campus in Hsinchu, with 2 master’s and 2 PhD programs located on the Taipei Beinmen campus.
• The COM is currently enrolling approximately 2,135 students. Among them, 771 are undergraduate students, 1,203 master’s students, and 161 PhD students.
• NYCU and COM relentlessly pursue excellence in research and pedagogy. With a balanced emphasis, we have successfully cultivated a significant number of prominent entrepreneurs, top executives, and professional managers in the high-tech industry—especially in the “Silicon Village of Taiwan,” i.e., Hsinchu Science Park. Geographic proximity and NYCU’s alumni network enabled us to collaborate with world-renowned high-tech companies. These include Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), the biggest semiconductor foundry in the world with over 50% market share, and other leading firms in the Hsinchu Science Park.
• As a top business school in Taiwan, we work not only with high-tech companies but also with businesses from other industries, including manufacturing, banking and financial services, supply chain and logistics, healthcare, and more. We engage our faculty, staff, students, partners, alumni, and stakeholders through our curricula, learning activities, collaborative projects, and research centers, aiming to innovate and make a meaningful societal impact.
