May 7, 2024 — We are honored to welcome Dr. Julie Swann, department head and  A. Doug Allison Distinguished Professor of the NCSU Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, who is also the Chair of INFORMS, the leading international association for professionals in operations research, analytics, management science, economics, behavioral science, statistics, artificial intelligence, data science, applied mathematics, and other relevant fields! We thank her for her inspiring lecture: "Analytics for Disease Modeling and Interventions during the COVID-19 Pandemic," which drew the attention of many professors and students.

Following the seminar, Professor Swann introduced the dual degree program between NCSU and NYCU, providing a valuable opportunity for faculty and students to deepen their understanding and engage in meaningful exchanges.
