2023 JMK Women in Business Scholarship

  • The International Zonta Club is offering a scholarship opportunity of US$5000 to female students. The application information is as follows:

    Scholarship Background

    Zonta International believes in gender equality and aims to support women pursuing undergraduate and master's degrees in business management. The Jane M. Klausman (JMK) Women in Business Scholarship program was created to help women overcome gender barriers and succeed in business careers. The Zonta Foundation for Women awarded the first Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships in 1998.

    Scholarship
    The International Zonta Club of District 31 Hsinchu will select one applicant from all outstanding female students who apply from all regions in Taiwan. The selected applicant will receive a scholarship of US$5000 (taxes will be deducted from the scholarship amount).

    Eligibility

    1. Women of any age who are pursuing a business program with a major field of specialization in accounting, economics, finance, business management, business technology, information technology, marketing, operations management, human resources management, international business, or entrepreneurship at an accredited university/college/institute are eligible. They must demonstrate outstanding potential in the field and be living or studying in a Zonta district/region.
    2. International students are also eligible to apply.
    3. Applicants must be enrolled in at least the second year of an undergraduate program through the final year of a master's program at the time of application. They must not graduate before April 2024.

     Application Documents
    1. Complete the application form directly in English in PDF format (handwritten applications are not accepted).
    2. Provide a professional information and goals statement within 500 words (page 4 of the application form).
    3. Submit two recommendation letters: one from an advisor or mentor and one from an employer or club advisor, along with a cover letter.
    4. Include proof of enrollment (page 7 of the application form).
    5. Submit official transcripts of previous years, including grades in the major field.

    Deadline
    Submit all relevant application documents (PDF files) to the College Office by August 28, 2023 (Monday) via email: tsmi@nycu.edu.tw
