The Research Center for Taiwanese Enterprise

Established in 2019,The RCTEG aims to contribute to the study of Taiwanese enterprises’ internationalization so as to facilitate and enhance the global impact of Taiwanese enterprises and provide insights into the internationalization of EMNEs (Emerging Market Multinational Enterprises). Originated in a newly developed country with a complicated historical and political background, Taiwanese enterprises encounter unique challenges when they internationalize. The internationalization experience of MNEs from developed countries may not be adequate for EMNEs such as Taiwanese enterprises. With the RCTEG, we hope to accumulate our expertise in related areas and contribute our insights to both academia and industry.

Sustainability Leadership Research Center

The establishment of this center is to promote the development of a Sustainability Leadership research philosophy. The vision of this research center is to become the best institution to study the Sustainability Leadership philosophy, and then to become a research & knowledge exchange platform for the corporate, the government and other academic institutions.

The Sustainability Leadership business philosophy is promoted by Dr. Stan Shih, an outstanding alumni of NYCU and the founder of the Acer Group. The Sustainability Leadership business philosophy is a spirit, a culture, derived from the traditional thinking of Eastern culture, and is different from the Hegemony values of the West. From the perspective of modern enterprises, Sustainability Leadership Sprit(Wang Dao) is to care about "life in the world," including the environment and all kinds of spiritual thing.

Traditional corporate management thinking emphasizes the importance of stockholders' rights and is accustomed to domineering behaviors. Therefore, it is easy to cause disadvantages. It should be converted to take into account the value of all stakeholders, and then requires attention to environmental protection and corporate social responsibility. Began in line with the Sustainability Leadership. The first thing to practice the Sustainability Leadership spirit is that entrepreneurs must think, "What value can they create for the rest of the world?" The value of an enterprise's existence lies in its ability to create value for society. At this point, the three core beliefs of Sustainability Leadership business philosophy are sustainable management, value creation, and balance of interests.
