RWTH Aachen Delegation Visits NYCU College of Management to Explore Sustainability Practices

On March 27, the College of Management at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) welcomed a delegation from RWTH Aachen University, along with representatives from German higher education and research institutions.

During the visit, the delegation toured the College of Management and the Office of Sustainability and Social Responsibility, gaining insights into NYCU’s “campus circular wood economy” initiative. Through the reuse of pruned branches and typhoon-fallen trees, campus resources are transformed into meaningful and educational outputs, demonstrating how sustainability can be made both tangible and visible.

The visitors expressed strong appreciation for NYCU’s integrated approach to sustainability, which effectively connects institutional governance, academic programs, and real-world implementation.

As a highlight of the visit, the delegation received commemorative items crafted from recycled campus wood. These items symbolize the university’s commitment to resource circularity and left a lasting impression on the visitors.
