As part of the UAAT International Young Visiting Scholar Program, the College of Management at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) hosted Assistant Professor Nergui Enkhzaya from Kyushu University’s Robert T. Huang Entrepreneurship Center (QREC) from February 17 to April 5, 2025.
The University Academic Alliance in Taiwan (UAAT) launched this program to strengthen international talent exchange by supporting short-term academic visits that foster collaboration in research, teaching, and innovation & entrepreneurship (I&E).
During her visit, Professor Enkhzaya engaged in research meetings with our faculty, exchanged ideas with graduate students, and explored potential areas for future collaboration. She also delivered two public lectures titled “Entrepreneurship in Japan and Fukuoka: Startup Ecosystem and Student Perspectives,” discussing Japan’s startup environment, Fukuoka’s innovation policies, QREC’s initiatives, and Japanese students’ entrepreneurial views. Both lectures were sparked lively dialogue.
To deepen the cross-cultural exchange, we arranged visits to key innovation institutions such as the TSMC Museum of Innovation, Science Park Exploration Museum, and Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), offering valuable insights into Taiwan’s tech ecosystem.
This visit enhanced Taiwan–Japan academic ties and opened new opportunities for cooperation in entrepreneurship and innovation. We are proud to support global academic exchange through the UAAT program.
