Kyoto University Professor William W. Baber Visits NYCU College of Management to Foster International Collaboration and Cross-Cultural Learning

From March 24 to 25, 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming Professor William W. Baber from Kyoto University to the College of Management at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU). Professor Baber, an expert in business negotiation, managerial communication, and cross-cultural management, brought with him a wealth of international academic and practical experience. His career spans work in economic development in the United States, entrepreneurship promotion in Japan, and academic appointments in the Czech Republic and Japan.

During his two-day visit, Prof. Baber engaged in meaningful discussions with our faculty members and led a series of lectures and workshops that sparked valuable insights into negotiation strategies and intercultural communication. Our students and faculty greatly appreciated his approachable style and the real-world relevance of his teachings.

Beyond the classroom, Prof. Baber has been a long-time advocate for collaboration between our college and Kyoto University. His visit not only deepened our academic partnership but also inspired our community to broaden its global perspective. We are truly grateful for his contributions and look forward to future opportunities to collaborate.
